What is AIC Toscana?
AIC Toscana is one of 21 regional branches of the Italian Celiac Association (AIC), founded in 1979 to improve the quality of life for people with celiac disease through initiatives in hospitality, education, training, and advocacy.
AIC Toscana’s mission is to enhance the lives of those with celiac disease by:
- Raising awareness of celiac disease among the public, institutions, the scientific community, schools, and the food service industry.
- Promoting tools and practices that protect AIC members and fostering a system of prevention, hospitality, and care for those with celiac disease.
- Implementing national AIC projects in Tuscany and building relationships with regional and local institutions.
- Engaging members in association activities with a focus on transparent and democratic management.
